PicsMatch Photo Management Tips

Creating Special Events with your Photos

  • Open PicsMatch
  • Click Events in the Menu.
  • Click Event Options.
  • Click the Special Events Tab in the new window.
  • Enter the name of the event (ie: Washington DC 2007)
  • Select the beginning and ending dates of your trip.
  • Click the Close Button
  • In the menu window, Select Events tab on the left pane.
  • At the bottom, Special Events will be listed. Your results will be populated!

Running an Advanced Search to find more than one person in the same photo(s)

  • Open PicsMatch.
  • Click Advanced Search in the Menu.
  • Click Advanced Options.
  • Select the people that you would like to locate in the same pictures.
  • Check And, Or, or Only.
  • Click Search and your results will appear!

Changing the Default Options: Picture Folder, Photo Editor, Photos per Page, etc.

  • Open PicsMatch.
  • Click Tools in the Menu.
  • Select Options.
  • From this window, you can…
  • select your Default Picture Folder
  • select what software you prefer for editing
  • choose how many image you’d like to view at a time under Results Per Page.
  • Click OK after you have made the appropriate changes.
  • Any of your changes will be applied instantly and ready to use!.

Best ways to share your newly organized photos
By clicking on the �Share Photos� button, PicsMatch will pull selected photos from Matching IDs, Events or Browse and consolidate them to a single folder on your hard drive. This makes it easy for you to:

  • Upload them to your media sites such as Flickr or Facebook. Both which can connect your your accounts and with a few click will automatically upload and tag your images.
  • Burn a CD or DVD from the program for archiving or sharing physical copies.

Saving down a Slideshow with Powerpoint
You can create a slideshow that you would like to save with various effects offered in Powerpoint. By selecting a group of photos, you can right-click and "Export to Powerpoint" to load a single image per slide into Powerpoint. This makes it extremely easy to save slideshows you can save and send to others.
